New GM, Head of Marketing Research at                          Abbott Laboratories

CHICAGO – September 20, 2004 - Martin Partners, L.L.C. announces the recruitment of Saeed Motahari to the position of GM, Head of Marketing Research at Abbott Laboratories.  Prior to joining Abbott, Mr. Motahari was the Senior Director, Marketing Research for the Bristol-Myers Squibb Company. 

During his six years at BMS Mr. Motahari made many strong contributions to both Marketing Research & Business Intelligence and to BMS as a company.  He is regarded as a solid leader and a creative innovator.
