Marty Reiner to Lead Chicago Board of Trade’s Business & Product Development

CHICAGO – Martin Partners is pleased to announce the recruitment of Martin Reiner to the position of Senior Vice President, responsible for Business & Product Development at The Chicago Board of Trade (CBOT®).  Mr. Reiner began his capital markets’ career at O’Connor Partnerships in 1985, later becoming the Global Head of Commodity Derivatives at Swiss Bank Corporation, upon the acquisition of O’Connor by Swiss Bank.  He has also held senior management roles as Global Head of Foreign Exchange Sales Technology, and as the Co-Head of Global Marketing and Distribution Management at SBC Warburg Dillon Read, the investment banking division of Swiss Bank.  Mr. Reiner has recently engaged in building and developing trading and technology companies, including OptiMark Technologies, and, most recently, Nstein Technologies, a leading e-publishing software firm, where he held the position of Head of Global Sales & Product Management.

“Marty will make an excellent addition to the senior management team, helping to lead CBOT®’s business development and product marketing efforts,” comments Bill Kingore, Partner at Martin Partners who lead the assignment.  “We are aligning our organization more closely with the market and our customers; Marty will help spearhead this activity for us,” states Bernie Dan, Executive Vice President of The Chicago Board of Trade.

The CBOT® recently filed a Registration Statement with the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC).  The file contains a preliminary proxy statement and prospectus that the CBOT® anticipates will be used to solicit membership approval for a series of restructuring transactions that will lead to a for-profit Chicago Board of Trade structure.
