CHICAGO, Illinois - Michael Sanderson, 58, has
been named the new Chief Executive
Officer of Nasdaq Europe. Sanderson is responsible for leading the
operation and development of Nasdaq Europe, as it continues to focus on
building its liquidity and market share, and becoming a major player in the
European marketplace. Prior to Nasdaq, Sanderson held positions as the
chairman and CEO of Market XT, an equity trading firm, as well as chairman and
CEO of Reuters America Holdings.
