Our client is a global business advisory firm offering comprehensive services to improve corporate performance, execute corporate turnarounds and provide litigation consulting support. They have over 700 employees in 12 locations across North America and Europe and have been the recipient of numerous awards from the Turnaround Management Association. Current needs are in their Chicago, Dallas, Detroit and NYC offices.
THE POSITION
In these positions, you will work side-by-side with clients as advisors or in the role of Chief Restructuring Officer. A consulting/financial advisory background from a top tier firm with a heavy emphasis on turnaround/restructuring consulting is needed. A combination of industry experience coupled with a consulting background would also be considered. These positions require experience in financial restructuring and operational turnarounds for bankrupt and distressed companies. Additionally, a background in Chapter 11 reorganization, crisis management and debt or advisory services is needed.
THE INDIVIDUAL
Candidates need to have prior experience assisting companies in financial distress including pre-crisis situations, out-of-court workouts and Chapter 11 reorganizations. Additional requirements include analyzing client business plans, debt capacity, competitive positioning and strategy, and regulatory considerations. It is important that the successful candidate have a background in preparing/analyzing cash flow forecasts, business plans and financial models. He/she will also assist with liquidation and valuation analysis for potential sale or merger. Other qualifications include:
