JOB SUMMARY

 

Candidate will support Director in strategic decision-making, environmental analysis, brand planning, budget related to patient advocacy.  In addition, this individual will build a capability in the support of development of a corporate strategy and creating joint plans with advocacy organizations.  This role will include Global Government Affairs, North American Medical Affairs and others as occasion requires.  This role will drive both strategic and tactical oversight of activities, executive-level facilitation, management of extensive external relationships, oversight of market research initiatives and consultancy management.

REQUIREMENTS

10+ years in biotech or pharmaceutical sales; marketing; strategic planning; reimbursement, policy and advocacy work; a Bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences or Pharmacy or a Masters’ degree in Business Administration, Public Health or Public Policy; collaboration through work teams; excellent interpersonal skills/strong communication skills; ability to effectively lead/influence cross-functional teams; ability to leverage multiple points of influence which include: patient, payer, policy and public relations; extensive project management experience; proven ability to interact with key customers at the executive level; and proven leadership and business results, demonstrated strategic planning problem solving skills and creative thinking, brand planning and agency management as well as the ability to effectively build internal and external networks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·        Coordinates all advocacy initiatives that enhance maintained access for patients, including state and federal ally development activities

·        Develops one- and three-year advocacy plan; Advocacy lead for annual brand planning process

·        Serves as the point of contact for societies and patient organizations which will result in referral to appropriate parts of the organization.

·        Plans and is responsible for coordinating meetings with key customers at appropriate societal events.

·        Member of the Educational Board to contribute commercial perspective of the educational goals.
